We have had a wonderfully busy term with new experiences, new staff, new students, new challenges and new successes! I look forward to what Term 2 brings us at St Maria Goretti.
ANZAC Day
Anzac Day is Tuesday 25 April which is a public holiday. Our school will be participating in the town march and the Commemorative Service held at the Inglewood Memorial park at 11am. Students in P-6 are invited to participate in the march and will be accompanied by school staff during the march and service. In the past, we have regularly had most of our students attend - and it would be great to see as many of you there as possible. Students will need to assemble on the footpath outside the church (next to the school) between 10:15-10:30am. Students will need to be in full formal uniform including black shoes and their school hat. Please bring a bottle of water. We appreciate your ongoing support of our school at the Anzac Day service.
School Uniform
As the weather begins to change we have had a few cooler mornings. Please ensure your children wear the correct school jumper to school. We have new and second-hand jumpers available from the front office. Can we please ensure that students aren't coming to school wearing jewellery. As per our uniform policy, the only jewllery permitted at school is a wristwatch, sleepers or studs, and a religious cross. The wearing of the correct school uniform promotes a sense of pride and belonging in our school. I thank you in advance for working with us to ensure all students are in correct uniform each day.
Professional photos
Recently we had some professional photos of our students and school taken to use for our marketing and advertising. Please see a few of the beautiful shots, below.

HOLIDAY READING
Our students enjoy their library books, it is a joy to see them engaged with their free choice reading! Students have borrowed extra books for the holiday period. Please encourage them to read as much as possible over the break and to keep their loans in a safe place.
Check these great resources out during the holidays. Log in details are provided on the dashboard.
OVERDUE LOANS
If your student has received a printout or letter listing their overdue titles, please make an effort to find and return them on Thursday 20th April, thank you.
